if it's the little things that count, do the bigger things in life read in between the lines?

I feel that if you take care of little things, big things will take care of themselves.

Most of people do not recognize that "between lines" do exist.
But how could we realize something is in between lines?
And what does a little thing not to be a bigger one?

This post remembered me about a poem of Oscar Wilde: http://albalearning.com/audiolibros/wilde_elruisenorylarosa-en.html
There are many between lines.............aren't there?

Hello again.

sara, i am so happy to hear from you again! you make a difference.

in art, there is the term, "negative space". it is the shape of the space around the design elements. a person saw one of my paintings once and said that she thought the piece was about the negative space. when i listen to music, i listen to the silent spaces. for me, life is about what i read in between the lines. but you are right, i am not necessarily the norm. many people refer to the lines. and yes, for me, it is the little things that are big.

i liked the image of the little things actually counting out loud....one two three.....and so i wondered what the bigger things might do.....

i read the reference you cited. sad......to sing one's song does not necessarily mean there will be ears to hear it.

if i speak with you, will you hear what i am saying even if the words don't fit into lines? or am i to make marks upon the inner cave of my being?

....like petroglyphs expressing life through a drawing.

I could just get used to go to a translator and keep hopes of find in there a clearer concept of your written thoughts.

Would not be almost the same if words don't fit into lines and to make marks upon the inner cave of your being?
There would, anyway, be an empty hole inside; wouldn' there?

I wonder, could be a difference seen of a wrong way?

How to forget your amazing issue questions and refuse myself to get back for more..........just imposible, if I can use that term.

i hope it will remain impossible, sara. and for me, what you don't understand of my language, helps me to see beyond my concept of it. and what i don't understand of your words gives me freedom to discover meaning i might not ordinarily.

and i love this: "Would not be almost the same if words don't fit into lines and to make marks upon the inner cave of your being?"

i love to be taken beyond lines by words that fly rather than fit into a mold....

is there such a thing as an empty space?

There is infinity in an inch
and a step between stars

If space were to be truly empty
It could not be observed for to see it would mean at least a single photon has passed through it
Since space is bound by the 4th dimension of time the instance something is in that space then it can never be considered empty again in the big picture.

Upon saying that, Saturday night in Oildale is pretty damn empty, and this is just a thursday

anne artist said...

so emptiness is that which can't be observed?

because there is matter, must there be an absence of matter or emptiness?

so what is in between the lines is infinite because i cannot observe everything that is?

as for oildale, well, at least you can step into the stars...if you were in texas, you could two-step into them, although i personally would prefer another dance step.

Sara said...

Personally, I think there will always be something beyond emptiness.
For me, such an empty space are the strong but sad feelings.

Another dance step, that made me laugh a lot.

anne artist said...

i am beginning to wonder what "emptiness" is.

anne artist said...

l.l., by the way, i would think that oildale could turn saturdays into a song..........

I believe emptiness is just another viel that make us to think there is no more than what we see: darkness.

Another concept, another lie.....

Since it's the little things that count, will we not purposely read between the lines to get the bigger things ?? Empty is to be filled with again....then what does it matter if is not filled again??Being empty....if is a status quote ....are we in a mould ....if my words is in the cave of your being ....would you fill me up , or let it train you to fill others up .....???

it has been said that life is an illusion. so then what is science?

An attempt for get away from daily monotony and something that tries to find out a reason why world is a lie and why we cannot use the mysticism as a new idea of living.

Or just a hobby of men.

personally, i am afraid of anything that is called the "truth". i can get that for me, for each person, there could be a truth but yet, in my world, my truths tend to morph into new ones.

i respect other people's belief in a truth as i long as i am not required to go along with it. i like diversity. i savor questions and discovering how much i don't know.

however, having said that, i will confess to curiosity about reason. as for monotony......i have never been able to experience that.......the river moves so quickly; it changes before i can step into it again.

anne artist said...

s.a.......i love your comment. it reminds me of a person who once said we are like vessels and it helps to empty out so that we can fill up again.

You can't read in between the lines if there are no lines. And without lines, there is nothing in between them.
In other words, what counts as little if there is no big to compare it to and vice versa?

anne artist said...

mwb, first of all, for me, your comment was art....

so, if the little things could be big things then the big things could be little. yet without lines, i would not be able to measure how to label them. i could simply look at them and enjoy the quiet.

after all, listening to counting and reading out loud kinda disturbs the tranquility of the moment.....

E. Studnicka said...

Exactly.
Remember the thrill you had when you were a kid and the lines in coloring books were invisible?
Carrying that perspective into adulthood is a true virtue.

anne artist said...

so, virtue is living an unlined life.....which in and of itself would become a line, paradoxically.

in the silence, i hear the rhythms.

if i speak, i hear the timbre of my own voice.

and when i dream, i realize i am awake.

Beautiful.

mwb, thanks. i have admired your words and thoughts and so this response from you means a lot to me.
