"the emperor's new clothes" by hans christian andersen
this fairy tale has been a companion to me as i have traveled through my life.
briefly, it is about an emperor who was deceived by two tailors who said they were making a set of clothing out of a "dream" fabric. in reality, they used no fabric at all. to make their scam complete, they announced that only those who were wise enough would be able to see the beautiful clothing. and so, no one, not even the emperor, admitted to being unable to see it.
wearing his new "clothing", the emperor paraded through his kingdom. no one questioned his appearance; no one wished to appear less than wise.
until a small child asked, "why is the emperor not wearing any clothes?"
so it is that i ask, if i question rather than believe i am wise, what will i see?

I think our voices echo back to us and off other people and keep going around the world. Words are powerful.

will the self i see everywhere enjoy the duet or ask for a solo?
and you bring up another question, if a dog plays fetch with a human, is the the human really havin' his name messed with?
In the literal sense, no, because the travelling of light to see yourself, like if you're surrounded by mirrors, is not connected to sound.
if your self is everywhere with you, aren´t you to partners, so it already forms a duet,and if your self asks for a solo, how does one separate one from oneself?
well aren´t names given as tags, to call a human, we all are humans so different yet so similar, so if a name is given to a dog is it a show of affection and recognition, because with or without his name he is still a dog, similarly with or without our names (including race, religion and gender) we all are humans!!!!

ah, yes, with a name i am a dog who is no longer lost in the anonymity of dogness.
Yes. We are in the realm unseen united. Our ideas do not disappear, if we do not use them or follow through with them, they leave us and are attracted to others that they may fit with. Ideas do not disappear, they just move on until they can be fulfilled. Thus, the echoes you hear although they may be from others, they may have originally originated from you or, you may have received them and not followed through and passed them along. Thus, are our ideas our own?
A voice is a reflection, a thought, a power of speech, something we have decided to make a voice about. Does it mean the voice is ours originally? Do we just continue in the same "circle" as we have for many years? Are we just repeating ourselves? Is anything original? Have we come to a time where everything is out there and it is just up to people left to follow through with them?
Food for thought on echoes and where they originate.

If a I see myself everywhere I look, why do I need to speak at all? Who am I talking to anyway. If I see myself everywhere, I already know what I'm thinking, no need to talk.

Haha ...is a banquet ....Qn: if i see myself everywhere i look, will my voice sound like an echo when i speak?? When you see yourself everywhere , were they all the same unique you??Maybe you are , maybe you are in different shapes ....thus does the echos sound the same ?? If the shape you take ....is not the one that you would like to take ....will the voice be nice thus how will the echos sound ??

since i have many aspects, is the echo a symphony....perhaps with a few discordant notes and a few unexpected melodies, too.......?

I cannot say that we always recognize that we are not separate from ourselves, however if you see another scenario,where we pretend to be someone else but deep down we know who we really are,so may be then we are "showing" that we are separate from ourselves.
@Khalil..I think your voice is your own,it's a medium to express your thoughts and views, and moreover its a medium to express you.Even if it is the circle of life, where things take a natural course of action, it doen't mean it's nt original, because you shape your own life right?so isn't your creativity originally yours?
@Sally Ang..if it's echo of your own voice I believe it will always be the same, no matter in which form you are, form in the sense stage of life, roles you play in life, the different shades of your own colors, but one thing remains constant is the voice indirectly your soul, the echo is that of the soul which I guess remains same always,and even if you become contrary to yourself,the echo will come harshly or like a sweet melody but it will still remind you of you.

do you see the perfect you everywhere or do you see a part of you in every things that you see?
it may echo if you see the similar you but you may hear another echo if not.
and are there times when i see the perfect me and then the next instant, i see an aspect of me only? yet, if i see only the aspect, is the perfect me still within it?
and if i listen to the echo, can i become familiar with the different tones and if so, might they become like walking sticks as i travel along?
This one makes me feel dizzy!
If indeed you see yourself everywhere and light travels faster than sound then when you hear the echo following your own reflection, you know you can trust it...as those are but a reflection of your own voice from some time ago. In that way these echos can be walking sticks or flashlights to show the way.
and you already know its tones and patterns for is it not the echo of your own voice that you are so familliar with?

Well if we take ourselves with us wherever we go? does the voice have to catch up?
I would just sound louder, as when several people say the same thing at the same time. If your reflections were well positioned, you could provide nice surround sound.

Yes, like being in a movie. Or better yet, someone's home with surround sound in their TV room. These days we live in.
every thing is reflection of our deep soul ,
our voice , behavior , body smell , achievements, and so on
every thing related to our own souls , is reflected in those things

then u can simply undrstand whethr ur voice sounds lyk an echo or nt..
there is no point dat othrs too can c u evrywer...
so, if i see myself more clearly, then others have a different picture of me to see. and if they see that, then i might see them seeing me. and pause and take another look at them, just to focus better. and if i say, "hello", my voice might echo back to me in a way that helps me see myself more clearly.........

i do love physics although i don't understand a lot of it.
sometimes, it is quite easy to love what one does not understand......
or maybe not.....am i confused or simply deafened by the echo.....is there a solid corpus around here somewhere?
no at all , but it's the definition of echo as i remember it
if we focus on the spiritual meaning of the phrase , we would say the echo of us depends on the nature of our voice and its effect ,,,
so the voice can be a good echo in the ears of others or bad echo , and that's depends on us and who we are at the first place :)

If you see yourself everywhere you look, you might be rflecting on past memories collaborating in a strange jumble. And if you hear your voices again as an echo whenever you speak, would you be speaking the same words you have spoken in your past event in life, or would you only be listening to a split fragment of the words that were already uttered, meaning that you never spoke in the first place? Maybe you won't even hear you voice whenever you speak. And echoes might not occur when you're speaking to yourself...:) I think I'm typing rubbish.
