it depends on where you live

and if it did reopen, i wonder if i might drive by it one day and not notice it was there.

or what if you forgot the lesson?

then would the store have ever opened or closed and would the crossroads be a winding road?

and what if it was a cloverleaf that never ended, and you forgot what you came for, and all of the stores were opening and closing at the same time
and then you heard the bell that never rang and the highway patrol pulled you over for thinking out loud
but it was actually on a Thursday and it was only a dream within a dream and tho you wanted to go back to sleep, the sun began to sing and you remembered what you came for and you found THE exit that had everything you wanted and your credit was good and MOTHER was behind the counter and the black crow winked at you and your heart grew wings and flew you HOME and you never had to flag a ride and oh joy upon joy forever and ever.
Final answer.

quite extraordinary. i am glad i asked the question.

i am wondering if there is such a thing as a final answer.

What if the final answer IS a question!!!

anne artist said...

so....in the beginning, there was a question.....

is an answer anything but a question with a period rather than a question mark? and if so, where does a period really take us?

what if we're LIVING the question..
are WE the answer AND the question?
I mean right NOW!!!!!!
Final question???

if we are the question and the answer are we also neither the question nor the answer? and by the way, what is a question?

a question is;
a bumblebee in a field of tulips, whispering to each one;
your pinky, when it is pricked and bleeding from the thorn on the rose that your lover gave to you;
a book of poetry that never ends;
a buzzard flying over your house on the day your child is born;
a photograph in your drawer, and you don't know who it is;
a child that calls you "mama", and you have never seen this child before;
paintbrushes that know what to do;
a tune you can't quite remember;
your body, moving in rhythm to the sun and moon;
knowing that is here, then gone, then here, then gone;
those spots when you close your eyes that move away when you try to see them;
the bird sees you, but you don't see the bird;
your laughter at a funeral;
crying in the grocery over something you can't put your finger on;
soup, bread, wine
someone that loves you and you don't care why;
the glass that can't be filled or drained;
old shoes
clouds
just do it, Anne Artist, just BE
right now;
perfection
forgiveness
love
you are
the answer
when
you are
the question
