through my questions, i hope to encounter the paradox within belief, that place where there is not one answer but many contradictory ones.
each question, each drawing is an invitation to join me in allowing what appears absurd to take us to a wisdom beyond linear thinking.
as long as we question, we are free. free to see, to feel and to express who we are. and to connect collaboratively with one another.

- i am a painter who began my career as a child coloring outside the lines of my coloring books. i am a writer who started out by composing adventure stories while riding my stick horse around the backyard. as a child, i got in trouble for asking too many questions...i question that.

"the emperor's new clothes" by hans christian andersen
this fairy tale has been a companion to me as i have traveled through my life.
briefly, it is about an emperor who was deceived by two tailors who said they were making a set of clothing out of a "dream" fabric. in reality, they used no fabric at all. to make their scam complete, they announced that only those who were wise enough would be able to see the beautiful clothing. and so, no one, not even the emperor, admitted to being unable to see it.
wearing his new "clothing", the emperor paraded through his kingdom. no one questioned his appearance; no one wished to appear less than wise.
until a small child asked, "why is the emperor not wearing any clothes?"
so it is that i ask, if i question rather than believe i am wise, what will i see?

Do you always have a blank expression on your face??What do you want to see in the mirror...when you look into it??....do you recognize that blank expression...as in yourself...or your expression??...is being blank what you like to express ??
so many questions! can't even begin to read them with a blank expression.........
so if i recognize that i am not looking like myself?
When you are not looking like yourself ...then you are not looking into a mirror...haha...:)...read the questions ...carefully and answer me on the ones ...that you feel like answering....or ones that benefit :)
i doubt that i often have a blank expression on my face. if i looked into the mirror and saw it, it would tell me that i have become like an empty vessel and it is time to fill back up.
also, when i look into the mirror, something i do rarely, i am curious about the image. what does it tell me about myself in that moment? yet, for me, it is just an image. and the person i "see" is the one who exists on the inside. and therefore, cannot be reflected in a mirror.
who do you see when you look in a mirror?
A pretty,smiley and cheery girl :)...haha...but there are times where teary and red eyes were reflected....perhaps ....the mirror reflect what you see...and not deep inside you....what do you think??Or who do you think will know what is hidden deep inside yourself?? what is really inside of yourself ?? Maybe, when you know that....you will recognize yourself even when you have a blank expression looking into the mirror :)
definitely not! coz you would be riot of thoughts and emotions and a blank face would be irrelevant and strange to you. blank faces are recognized only by passport and visa officers
s.a., in the mirror, i look for that spark of life in my eyes. if it is there, i feel like my inside self is being at least partially expressed on the outside. if i see blankness, then i go in search of the spark.
each day is a new step in discovering who i am on the inside. does that inner self draw with colored clay on the walls of a cave? does she write in symbols that only she understands? does she have a language at all yet somehow understands all languages? will i ever know her or just feel her mysterious presence within me? my journey each day is to step a little farther into a place beyond maps in the hope of distinguishing her song from the echoes...
r, is it not interesting that when we have official photo's made, we show a blank face? when models are photographed for magazines, they often leave their animated expressions on the dressing room floor.
and officials are intent on identifying us but not seeing us................paradoxical...........
As Sally Ang has stated in a.. diffrent way, is that there are to many variables to comprehend generalizing the result. But, with me, I haven't recognized myself in two years so..... I can't quite answer.
and if i recognize myself, will it be only an illusion?
