each question, each drawing is an invitation to join me in allowing what appears absurd to take us to a wisdom beyond linear thinking.
as long as we question, we are free. free to see, to feel and to express who we are. and to connect collaboratively with one another.

- i am a painter who began my career as a child coloring outside the lines of my coloring books. i am a writer who started out by composing adventure stories while riding my stick horse around the backyard. as a child, i got in trouble for asking too many questions...i question that.

"the emperor's new clothes" by hans christian andersen
this fairy tale has been a companion to me as i have traveled through my life.
briefly, it is about an emperor who was deceived by two tailors who said they were making a set of clothing out of a "dream" fabric. in reality, they used no fabric at all. to make their scam complete, they announced that only those who were wise enough would be able to see the beautiful clothing. and so, no one, not even the emperor, admitted to being unable to see it.
wearing his new "clothing", the emperor paraded through his kingdom. no one questioned his appearance; no one wished to appear less than wise.
until a small child asked, "why is the emperor not wearing any clothes?"
so it is that i ask, if i question rather than believe i am wise, what will i see?

Would you stay indoors becos you are afraid that the pieces of clouds will hit you ?? I would run outside to have fun in the clouds ....perhaps dancing in the clouds ...because guess i thought i couldn't pick up pieces of clouds ....as in clouds are not like snow ....:) i haven't been able to feel and see snow ...how does it feel to stand in snow filled fields ...hoped that one day i would have the chance :)
s.a., i do hope that one day you will experience snow. it is quite amazing. there is also a hush that comes with it........a beautiful sound.
and if i picked up pieces of clouds, what would happen?
totally, and put it back together again. Make something out of what's left. Sooner or later, the sun will be whole again. Maybe not the same, but whole.

Like Sally Ang said, there are two ways you can handle these things. Me personnaly, i would go out and dance in the rain of the falling sky. Others would pick the pices up and others would stay indoors and... well, pray that their insurance covers falling skies. :P. You can't truly decide what you would do unless you're in the moment.
so if i pick up the pieces of the fallen sky and take them inside, will i create a version of sky inside my house?
r, if the sky falls and part of it is in my hand, then what choice to i have, other than have fun with discovering what will replace the fallen sky?
