When you speak...do you want someone to hear , to listen to you ?? i won't mind if i speak and no one listens....becos to listen or not ...is the other person, or persons response ...and not mine to control ...but if i speak ...what do i really want to do ?? or what is my intention ??

s.a., i like your questions.

if i am speaking my mind, to whom am i speaking? to my own self or to another person? if i speak my mind, is it an invitation to share an experience with me? do i use my words as weapons with which to separate me from another?

if i speak rather than write in a journal, why am i doing that?

what does it say if no one listens?

what does it say if i do not listen to my own words?

Perhaps that is why you write a journal...becos you need not to be listen to by somebody, and you write so that you can review what you said to yourself ...in time to come ....when you speak ...are you making your point ?? Or are you trying to convince somebody to accept your point ?? or both ?? So, this is the difference :)

so, there is a difference...........making a point could be about enabling myself to have a clearer idea about how i am thinking. if i try to convince someone that i am right is about..........?

if i don't speak my mind, will i mind if i hear only silence?

Slience can be scary ....at other times slience let us have a peaceful and refreshing feeling ....guess sometimes we need to know when, and what is best to speak ...before we speak ...so that we dun hurt others or make unnesscary comments to worsen situation :)...that takes wisdom, experience and practise :)

It is immensely satisfying to say what you want.. as you probably felt when you framed this question and posted it, regardless if anyone reads it or not :)

s.a., i wonder if sometimes silence speaks so loudly that it is unpleasant to hear.

Anne, agreed with you sometimes slience can be so unpleasant to hear ...or maybe bear :)

it seems that we learn to meditate in order to still the inner voice, to create a silence within us. and that is calming.

but yet, when i do that, i just might miss hearing that inner voice, that companion. not the ego oriented, blaming part, but the gentler voice.

i wonder if there is an inner voice who sings my song and reminds me that it is all just a dance, a lovely all too brief dance.

For the brief dance ...can i be your partner to that dance :)...haha ...Anne jus joking, guess a man is preferred for your dance ....i liked the way you mentioned about the voice singing in our heart ...that voice will be a gentle and sweet sound that even when there is no one listening ....you will heard it :)

although it is my song and my dance and i dance alone.........is it not also our song and the dance we cannot help but dance together?
