each question, each drawing is an invitation to join me in allowing what appears absurd to take us to a wisdom beyond linear thinking.
as long as we question, we are free. free to see, to feel and to express who we are. and to connect collaboratively with one another.

"the emperor's new clothes" by hans christian andersen
this fairy tale has been a companion to me as i have traveled through my life.
briefly, it is about an emperor who was deceived by two tailors who said they were making a set of clothing out of a "dream" fabric. in reality, they used no fabric at all. to make their scam complete, they announced that only those who were wise enough would be able to see the beautiful clothing. and so, no one, not even the emperor, admitted to being unable to see it.
wearing his new "clothing", the emperor paraded through his kingdom. no one questioned his appearance; no one wished to appear less than wise.
until a small child asked, "why is the emperor not wearing any clothes?"
so it is that i ask, if i question rather than believe i am wise, what will i see?

no, but if the forests grew trees, they would grow nails to construct the houses. They would be merely the seeds, not the trees.
I guess, in a way, the forests would be made of nails since that is where the trees came from if the nails were the seeds.
Yeah, I'm not so sure, good question. It's kind of a "which came first?" thingy.

the seed of a house. the seed of a forest. who knows what will come forth from a seed.........
I don't get you....why would nails be in forest ....is make up of other materials ....and not natural resources ....there is a question in my mind.... if houses were built on soil (dust), would villages be built with human??
since houses are built with nails, and if houses did grow on trees, would a forest be partially be built with nails?
so, s.a., your question raises another one. is a village a forest of houses?
Hmmm...the house would be the pod or shell that contains the seed. When it ripens, it crashes to the ground; and if the human wasn't under it at the time looking up to see when it would be fully ripened, then he can claim it for his own, scrap all the seeds out, and cart it off to its new location...piece of cake! A miracle of nature...why would there even be a nail?
houses often are held together by nails...as for forests, that is another issue........
i do like how a seed pod can become a piece of cake........maybe the question could be.......if houses grew on trees, would forests be built of chocolate cake with icing?
