The present is a walk on the road of future...

and if i stroll along, pause to gaze at the moon and inhale the fragrance of a flower......will the road take me more slowly into the future? or will i immerse myself so completely in the feel of the path beneath my feet that i forget about the road's destination?

the present always changes the future. if you stop and smell the roses the future will smell excellent. there's no such thing as a destination.

is there no such thing as a destination because i am already there?

If you keep dreaming and not building on your present, when you are awaken in the future ....do you think you had arrived ?? If i continue to build without, first dreaming ....will i be awaken even when i had reached ....??

do i think i am dreaming and dream that i am thinking?

Nope you might awaken like a princess under a spell in someone elses future, maybe even mine. But you can't awaken into your future. For you always live now. You can refer to the future and the past but your presence will always be your now even if you popped forward a hundred years. the future is a ghost but we are haunted by the past.

I am currently dreaming now about a wonderfull future!

l.l., and when do we trick or treat? is that the present?

when i dream, am i in any time at all?

and you did guess......i am a princess......two years ago on halloween, i dressed up as the fairy princess at her day job. even so, people did not seem to notice......do people have princess blinders on?

i do regard myself as an egalitarian princess.....it's more about the magic of not being tethered to the linear day to day......and so it is, that i might very well awaken into your future. alas, you would be too present to notice.......

z, i does sound like a title!

will you read the ending first?

What is egalitarian princess ??....btw i do read the ending first , always ....when i am satisfield with the ending i start my read ....btw i like to be princess too...if one of these days i am going to a halloween party ....i am going to be a ephebrewgalatians' princess haha....:)

what would we do without halloween, sally?!

and the ending of a book contains within it the beginning, does it not?

thank you sally and lazarus for bringing up the princess. since i have been called a princess, i have wondered about it. and although i don't know what was meant by the term used by others, i have continued to ask myself what it means to me.

this morning, while eating breakfast, an image came to me. a breakfast of porridge, by the way...

i said "egalitarian" because i do not feel like an elitist princess....above others. i feel equal to others. for me, being a princess means still being childlike in some ways. i think of the princesses in fairy tales...

as an adult, i have become snake shedding her skin. growing, letting go on my own. struggling to shed skin that no longer fits. and i have become the phoenix lazarus spoke of in last sunday's blog. creating from a nest of ashes, bones and feathers and a belief in flight which transforms me into flight itself.

yet, a princess has a different mythical quality. the spell lazarus mentioned was cast upon her. later, she was able to awaken through the love of a stranger.

i wonder if we all do not have these aspects within us. perhaps we don't talk about them in this way.

and i wonder, too, if within us all is the stranger....

and so it is that i return to lazarus' comment on sunday's blog...to the kiss of a phoenix.....it burns....for within that kiss is the flame of life.

When we escape from the present, we will always reappear in the future. Or perhaps we awake in the present to find that we have dreamed of the future and are actually in the past.

Because within that kiss is a flame of life ....does you give that kiss to everyone or jus reserve it to that "special" one .....who needs that flame of life ....and what make this princess a princess is becos she is ever growing, changing from one form to another....ya, the ending means in itself is a beginning....Halloween ....we dun need that at all ....becos i dun see a need to ....I think we can always be who the person we always want to be ....what you wrote "and i wonder, too, if within us all is the stranger...."
is food for thoughts ....thank you :)

aren't we always in the past....? by the time i notice myself or what is going on, the moment has passed into the past.......similar to looking at a star and realizing that the image i am seeing is of the star light years ago.

anne artist said...

the flame of life is the flame of life......i sound like lazarus.....is the kiss within the flame rather than the flame of life being within the kiss? is the flame of life too unbounded to be contained within anything? and if i kiss or doing anything in which i feel that flame, am i not feeling that unboundedness, too?

There is no past or future.
Yet without them there can be no present.

mwb, yes! the time paradox.

it makes me wonder why i put so much attention on the past and future....maybe so i can feel good about the present. yet, in so doing, i lose the present......
