if the motion of one butterfly flapping its wings creates a breeze on the other side of the world, what would happen if we gently blew out candles and made wishes? i wonder, if i were a kite, would i see the wishes fly?

HAppy BirthdaY...=]!!!!11
Have a great day and year ahead, still waiting for sunday post..
if you gently blow out the candles I believe that you will fist spread the aroma of your candles, then the warmth of the happiness and then slowly, that sweet smoke would blow from one element to another in the room, but I wonder would you let it escape you house? And if yes where would your birthday wish and message go?
I believe wishes are not meant to be seen, so they fly to the lord and ring in his ears like a chime, so that he can smile and bestow you with his blessings and thus your wish..
Happy birthday my dearest anne, have a great day and life ahead..
Take care

thank you for the bd, wishes, bh. and sorry to disappoint, this is the sunday post. i don't usually share events in my life and so this is a departure. however, the commentors have given me so much this year that i wish to include you and them in what for me in a very personal day.
and, i am thinking that perhaps you noticed; i have been giving subtle pieces of info. about me since wed. as a way of leading up to this day.
for me, this blog is not about me but about the question. and i like that i am "seen" differently by each one who decides to create an image of me. there is something quite wonderful about that.
huge questions....would i let the smoke from the candle i blew out escape the house? and where would it go?
i am not sure it could be contained in my house. so i could either open the door and send it out into the world or pretend it wasn't happening. and for me, it would go to the stars to become part of the dust from which we are made. (if science is correct on that.) and if not, then it will go where the wind takes it until the moment when a butterfly's wing touches it and a breeze travels back to me, in through the front door as i open it to a new day.
Hi!
this is the first time I read your blog :)
And Happy BirthdaY!!
Have a nice life and hope that all your good wishes come true :)
What do butterflies wish for when they create their wing-breezes? A puff of wind, a sigh, a soft breeze, a wish on the air... this is what magic is. Creative and destructive we imitate the wind when we blow out the candles on our birthday cakes, extinguishing another creative and destructive force (in miniature) while simultaneously creating the smoke that carries our wishes into the universe. Air nourishes fire, but also serves to eliminate it. Within ourselves is this same delicate balance which we project into the world. Often we become unbalanced. The fire becomes too great or we use our air to harshly. But when the fire is gone, there is smoke lingering, mingling with the air.
Have a wonderful Birthday.
mwb, your words and images take me to a timeless place.....and i am savoring them.....
"delicate balance which we project into the world"

Nice coloured pic ....happy birthday....I think in this world, every living thing and natural occurances are inter-connected ....just like when you said a butterfly flap creating breeze in another part of world ....and when a creative power versa distructive power, when a person died and another will conceive ....well, all in all ....joy may not be joy if we haven't taste sadness ....so just a reminder on your birthday ....be in joy with those who rejoice ....know the sadness and pain with those who remorse ....becos through these experiences we have , we might have life to the fullest :)
s.a., i like the quantum physics image of the butterfly flapping its wings and the resulting breeze being felt on the other side of the world.
inter-connectedness, as you say.
this year, i especially enjoyed connecting with friends, new and old, in part because i had lost friends. it is a valuable reminder that life is a cycle and as i celebrate my first breath on this planet (one monday morning at dawn), i am aware that others are drawing their last breaths. beginnings and endings. connections and disconnections.
this year, my birthday seemed new to me in that it was unlike other ones in the past. a past, which was not following me as i went ahead.
for me, i have been in a time of starting over and so i focused on it yesterday. snake shedding her skin and noticing the newness of the shape with which she emerged.
so for me, it seems very much like a year with a coloring book without lines......
I wish you all the happiness I'm not planning on using!

ll, your words give new meaning to waste not, want not.
Happy Birthday
many greets from Mexico
still reading ur old entries!
z, i enjoy revisiting the older posts through your comments! thanks!
sadie, perhaps all wishes are connected....and the kite itself is a wish.......
here is sadie's comment. for some reason, i am not being successful at getting it to be listed:
If you were a kite would you also see where all the wishes land? Would the wishes fall like pixie dust to grant the wishes of others? Birthdays offer than own special kind of magic!
I wish all the best and lots of peace!!!!!!!!!!
thanks, h!
