If you do not know where to look ...then how did you managed to plant the tree ??

perhaps when planting the tree, i was looking for rich soil.....and then the roots grew more numerous and perhaps harder to see..........

hmmm...soil play a part in growing roots ....then what do you think if you can't find rich soil ?? Do you then decided not to plant the tree ?? And at that moment would you have a chance to appreciate your own roots ??

those are very cool questions...thank you for them, s.a.!

some trees have very shallow roots, so perhaps i would benefit from an awareness of the soil as well as the tree and not just my desire to have the tree in a particular place.....

as for my own roots, sometimes i forget i have them...
