if i gift your crayons and paints instead of the coloring book, would you still ask for a particle of star dust?
And if you have coloring book without lines, would the pages me blank so that you can spill your colors and create a world of art?

you might decide that a particle of stardust was a coloring book.......

in a sense a coloring book without lines might seem to be blank. to some, quite obviously so; yet, it also could contain all the images i will ever draw in a lifetime.

from many possibilities, a simple line slowly appearing over time and speaking to me of the journey.

Our Birthdays are a celebration of our receiving a coloring book without lines.

mhb yes.......and if i am made from stardust, will i draw the universe on the pages before me?

On our breaths is the color with which we will fill the world.

to be mindful of breathing.....is more than a meditation then, mwb.......

Sometimes we use so much energy coloring the world, we need to spend time alone with our own breath.

there is that.....to be "alone with our own breath" feels healing to me. although our breath, like bh's smoke, (in pt.2) will leave us and go out into the world, even though we are not focusing on it doing so.

if i am understanding quantum physics correctly: and who knows about that; then when i breathe in, i am also breathing in subatomic particles from that which is around me.

so, looking at it from that point of view, can i be alone with my own breath?

You would get the coloring book without lines. The stardust is either within you or not.

a little bit of stardust to build a dream on..., you are the dream, awake, and get the crayons and paints..., and make a selfportrait. voilĂ , the best beautiful piece of stardust...
happy birthday

A colouring book without lines, but full of images of life you lead, I may not be able to give you a particle of stardust ....becos ....i couldn't even collect it up in a way....but i hope to give you a ray of sunlight ....as impossible as the stardust ....but that is what about in a birthday....wish upon a star or a hope for a better tomorrow ???

The book would be a join-the-dots, and the dots would be particles of stardust...

Many Happy Returns of the Day to you Anne Artist. I hope you receive a shower of such particles.

ramps, thank you for the beautiful wish. and i do like join-the-dots coloring books. there is something about connecting......

and dots made of stardust would be perfect.

i listen to television shows about science. and often, it is reported that we are made of stardust....from times too ancient to be able to fathom.

so, to give me a coloring book with dots made of the building blocks of life would be a gift, indeed!

s.a., a ray of sunlight.....

a very kind gift. impossible to give as you say, but the wishing makes it so.....

Trusting soul that you are
You should be careful in asking the devil for a gift
At least I promise the box will be very pretty :)

ll, i am rewriting my comment that i just erased. it seemed unclear to me rather than abstract.

instead, i will ask you.....if you promise me that the box will be pretty, does that mean that you yourself are the devil?

trusting soul that i am, i thought that human beings read this blog....am i confused?

Interesting question. The devil lies, so the devil would say only humans read your blog.

But I think everyone can say your blog is amusing, and thought provoking.

anne artist said...

ll, thank you.

does the devil read? i mean, i've never seen the devil wearing reading glasses....

just like how life is that coloring book you asked for? it is romantic and tragic sometimes in its ways....boundless/boundful. colorless/colorful. right/wrong. such is interpreted in so many ways....

anne artist said...

n, a very colorful way to describe it......
