each question, each drawing is an invitation to join me in allowing what appears absurd to take us to a wisdom beyond linear thinking.
as long as we question, we are free. free to see, to feel and to express who we are. and to connect collaboratively with one another.

"the emperor's new clothes" by hans christian andersen
this fairy tale has been a companion to me as i have traveled through my life.
briefly, it is about an emperor who was deceived by two tailors who said they were making a set of clothing out of a "dream" fabric. in reality, they used no fabric at all. to make their scam complete, they announced that only those who were wise enough would be able to see the beautiful clothing. and so, no one, not even the emperor, admitted to being unable to see it.
wearing his new "clothing", the emperor paraded through his kingdom. no one questioned his appearance; no one wished to appear less than wise.
until a small child asked, "why is the emperor not wearing any clothes?"
so it is that i ask, if i question rather than believe i am wise, what will i see?

The bow is the one that release the arrow...it has the power and direction of where the arrow should go ..when there is a choice to be a bow or arrow ... i prefer to be the arrow :)
does the arrow have any power of its own?
Well, it has a mission...but no power ...Anne, what do you suggest ??Do the arrow need power ??
it's moving forward..it would probably not look inthe direction of the bow
is the shape and balance that enables flight a type of power?
so, r., it would be a very forward thinking arrow....
But the arrow, will never forget who release it with his power and direction to fulfill it's mission, forward looking yet remembering it's source :)
so can remembering be a type of power?
as well as forward thinking?
and yet, just being the arrow flying through the air without thought.........is there power there as well?
Maybe is the liberal power :)...but i think that without the background force of the bow ....the arrow could not make it at all :)
so without the bow, the arrow would have no function....
ya...and who is behind the bow ??
one who believes in flight....
Without the "l"...is fight :)...haha...
and without an "i" there can be no "fight"....
:)...so would you take the flight ?? would you rather be the bow or the arrow ??
s.a., your comment came to me twice and then i ended up posting it twice, so have removed one of the two comments since they were the same.
i would say that some days i would like to fly freely. and i might even enjoy connecting with the target.
however, there are times i would prefer the smoothness of the bow, the collaboration with the arrow. and being held by the archer.
